For a long period of time, Chinese schools across the United States have used Cantonese, traditional characters, and Zhu Yin phonetics to teach. Presently, the advent of the Chinese AP test and classes will instigate a great change! Huada Chinese Academy's High School Chinese Credit Course is one of the ten private Chinese school courses accredited and recognized by the San Francisco Unified School District. If students take one or two years of High School Chinese Credit Course at Huada Chinese Academy, they will be qualified to take the Chinese level one or level two test given by the district. If students pass the level two test, they will receive twenty world language credits issued by the SFUSD. Currently, Huada is offering three years of high school Chinese credit courses, H1, H2 and H3, for current high school students or graduating middle school students who have no or limited Chinese language skills. Huada is also offering AP Chinese course, and a Chinese Language Arts course specially designed for students coming from the Chinese Immersion programs.

Huada San Francisco Academy designs Chinese classes for students from preschool to high school. We teach with China’s Ji Nan University’s Chinese textbook series and University of California at Berkeley’s Integrated Chinese textbook series. We also design elementary school, middle school and high school mathematics enrichment classes. Huada has also specially designed an English enhancement class and writing class for elementary, middle and high school students. On the extracurricular aspect, Huada also provides art class, Go class, and dance class. All classes are staffed by professional and experienced teachers.
