家长参与学校管理和运作是学校成功和顺利发展不可缺少的一部分， 其中最重要的当属每个周日的家长值班制， 也就是说家长们在校方办公室的安排下进行值班工作， 这项工作是保证学校维持低学费， 但进行高质量教学必不可少和重要的条件之一。 Parents participation in the school ‘s operation and organization is indispensable. The most important part is the weekly Parents-On-Duty program. Parents will serve duty work under the arrangement of the administration. This type of work is a necessary condition for the school to require low tuition fees and provide high quality education at the same time.

过去， 我们许多家长积极参与值班活动， 履行了学校校章-学生手册上阐明的责任， 为学校的工作作出了他们的义务和贡献。 In the past, we have many parents participating in this event. They have fulfilled their responsibility, bind by the agreement in the student handbook, and gave their contribution to the school.

  1）为什么学校需要家长值班制？- Why does Huada need the Parent-on-Duty program?
是为了保持低学费， 又使学校教职员工能专注学校的教学和管理。 华大学校成立以来， 就将值班制载入学校的校章里。
The parent-On-Duty program allows the school to guarantee low student tuition fees, and allows the facility to concentrate on teaching and management tasks. This program was instated since Huada Chinese Academy's inception.

  2）新的家长值班制有哪些变化？- Why changes are made to the new Parents-On-Duty program?
    A 有·一个学生的家庭每年至少要参加一次值班， 每次值班的时间不超过两个小时。 Families with 1 student must attend Parent-On-Duty at least once a year. Service will be no longer than 2 hours.
    B 有两个， 或者三个以上学生的家庭每年也应该一次以上的值班。 Families with 2 or more students should attend Parent-On-Duty more than once a year.
    C 家长参加值班的时间应与该学生上课的时间相吻合。 Parents duty hours should match their student’s class time.

  3）如何落实与协调这项工作? -What if I choose not to participate in Parent-On-Duty?
学校办公室邓卓然女士将具体协调和安排这项工作。

  4) 为什么在这个时候作这个决定? -How will you establish this policy?
随着学校的深入发展， 学校对家长值班的需求在不断增加， 因而学校办公室的值班协调也在不断增加， 然而在部分家长不愿意参与或答应而不兑现的情况下， 学校值班工作的管理变得异常繁复和困难， 我们有时候要花费大量的时间作反复的沟通和疏导。 我们知道个别家长星期天都是双职工在上班， 而个别家长坚持不参加值班却不能提供不参加的可靠的依据。 对于这些家长， 我们要求支付40 元。 As the school expands, the school is need for duty work increased. Because there are still certain parents who are unwilling to participate or do not show on their assigned dated, the school ‘s duty work becomes burdened and difficult. We sometimes have to expend great time to repeatedly communicate the necessity of duty work. We know that some families have occupations on Sunday; however, some families who claim to not be able to serve duty work cannot provided good explanation or evidence. For these families, we request a $40 contribution.

  5） 如何实施具体方案？-How do I check my Parent-On-Duty arrangement?

所有家长（父母之一为代表） 应有义务， 学校的教职员工家庭除外。 With the exception for the facility, once parent from every student’s family is expected to be on duty.

  7) 如何查询自己是否已经值班的情况? – How do I check my Parents-On-Duty arrangement?
打开学校网站www.huadahcinese.com的通讯与联络版内-家长值班公布表。 我们每星期都会把值班的家长用红色表示出来。 Go to our website at www.huadachinese.com and click on news contact. In one of the tables on the page, we have the Parent-On-Duty placement. We update this form every week and highlight who attended in red.
